The interview was cool, and when I got downstairs my truck wouldn’t start. Fun. Apparently my friend left the car on as he slept during the interview. After dealing with that we had to eventually drive BACK to Orlando to get the rest of the guys to turn around again and drive back to Tampa. And never got a chance to take a nap….DUTY CALLS!

We had a band called The Grove open for us, and it was one of the better bands that we have had open for us. There is nothing worse than hearing fans asking, “When is this band gonna be done?” Thankfully that wasn’t the case. Almost 400 people showed up, and danced and sung the night away. Let me tell you – music is a beautiful thing. I’m pretty sure that everyone in there had a pretty stressful week, so to be able to help relieve some stress is a cool thing. THANK YOU everyone in TAMPA for your love! I’ll be back Oct. 12 ACOUSTICALLY .

As early as 1998, Chris McCarty demonstrated his confidence on stage when he was a runner-up in the Conan O’Brien College Band Search.

In 2002, he performed at Gator Growl for a capacity crowd of 50,000 people when he opened for Sugar Ray.

In 2005, McCarty was the Adult Vocalist Winner of Lou Perlman’s “Talent Rock” contest and was a finalist in the popular Rockstar Supernova television show.

Chris has also shared the stage with such great artists as:

• Blues Traveler

• The Wailers

• G Love and Special Sauce

• Average White Band

• the legendary James Brown

• and opened for the Dave Matthews Band during the Florida leg of their summer tour.
