Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to the greatest example of a woman I could have. You worked endlessly, so we would not need anything. You never complained after working a 72 hour shift delivering babies. And when you would get home you would still find me and my brother and tell us, "I love you" before falling to a much deserved slumber. Your patience and grace is something to marvel. It was only after I had my own children that I fully understood the sacrifices you made with your life to help give me all that a little boy could ask for. Witnessing you as a Grandmother has given me a different pair of eyes that are in absolute awe of you. Your smile lights up the world. Your voice is it's calming touch. Your love is unmatched. I am more than grateful and extremely luck to call YOU my mother. I love you Mommy.

Your youngest son, Christopher

2 kids. 2 years old. 2 puke in my mouth.

2 kids. 2 years old. 2 puke in my mouth.

I am more than grateful to have two little healthy babies that both decided to take dad down with mommy's milk. Both were 2 months old. Big brother started and baby sister finished it.

Yesterday marked 3 weeks since my surgery and I am really learning appreciation. I had no clue how much I truly loved walking, running, and most of all dancing. You never know what you have until it's gone.

We are always nervous when you don't have control, when you don't know the outcome. And in our moment of total weakness and vulnerability your TRUE friends so up.

Brown Boxer

This is not good. I didn't know they existed, but we learn something new everyday. This is a Brown Widow spider. Yep. Making babies on my trash can. Make sure you watch what you are doing if you live in Florida and California. -CMc

Valentina Rose McCarty

On September 13, 2014 my daughter, Valentina Rose McCarty was born. Being the old school daddy I am, I felt my baby was too young to join social media before today. wink emoticon

My daughter's name is basically paying homage to her elders, and ancestors. My grandmother's maiden name was "Valentine". My mother's middle name is "Rose". I am also a Valentine baby, so Valentina Rose is here.

Having a son means raising and creating a man. Having a daughter is a whole other game. One of my brothers, Ernest Jackson, who is a father of a 16 month old daughter told me this:

"She will look to you before all others, in a way she will never look at another. You will be a constant reminder of what she is worth. She will feel and be safe under your watch. You are her protector and teacher of "mans" capability. All other men in her life will mirror what you show her or fill what you lack to provide. You are now, in this moment a HERO.... "

Thank you God for my little princess.

Life goes on

on Monday, 03 February 2014. Posted in Life Stuff

Well, football season is over, and life goes on. It always amazes me how in one moment people are experiencing different emotions at once. The people of Seattle are feeling a joy they have never felt, while wives and husbands were crying over seeing the faces of their loved ones during the half time performance. I was helping two different friends with their ended relationships, while bonding with my 12 year old raking our yard. My 1 year old is growing each day, and revealing the truth every step of the way. This life is not about me. This life is about everyone AROUND me. So grateful to be apart of it all, and keep perspective while in the madness. I hope you don't mind me sharing this perspective with you.

Hopefully I will see you this week at The Hard Rock, or The Getaway.

Special Thanks

on Sunday, 02 February 2014.

Special thanks to these companies at NAMM

I just want to thank these companies and people for helping to make my first NAMM experience amazing!

Cole Clark Guitars- Thanks Sean for allowing me to perform with The Fat Lady 2! I fell in love with these guitars the first time I touched one! This was the first place I went to while I was there, and it was the best move I did! Can't wait to play one again!

Aclam Guitars- Victor Partido for allowing me to use their pedal board. What a cool invention they created! A pedal board that illuminates! To Barcelona with love!

Clayton Guitar Picks! Thanks Mrs Sharron for coming to check me out, AND for singing to me! "I like the way you work it!". Hopefully I will have my very own "Chris McCarty" picks!

Boss and Roland-  Paul Yougblood and Aaron Marino for listening to me go 100 mph on how much I love their equipment! In my "royals" video I use BOTH a Boss and Roland's Gr33. Thank you for helping artists like me sound really cool!

Gator Cases- Brian Larsen for your time and information for my new cases. I look forward to hanging with you in Tampa soon homey!

Rock Cellar- Adrian for coming to my show, and for the write up. Look forward to many interviews with you my man.

RAM Mounts- Jason Shipley for your confidence in your product, that made you GIVE me one of your mounts. That sort of confidence is infectious. Can't wait to show you a picture of me using it on stage!

GoPro- David Rodick for the conversation while the madness was happening around us! Can't wait to put together a video using GoPro cameras! That will be VERY cool.

I will see you all next year at least, but hopefully soon I will be representing ALL of your equipment and will be able to do my part in helping YOU spread the word about your passion with music. THANK YOU!!!

NAMM Day 2 and 3

NAMM Day 2 and 3

NAMM day 2,

As some of you know day 2 blew day one away when I walked into the conference hall and was told to "avoid the Stevie Wonder line.". No. I will NOt be avoiding Stevie Wonder. Stevie Wonder is absolutely one of my all-time favorites. What is funny is right before I got there I was listening to him!?! I don't know how I do it, but God seems to often let me in places I normally shouldn't be.

For example: When I was in 7th grade MC Hammer came to Gainesville, and my ticket was on the 3rd level of the O'Connell Center, so why was I in the front row of the show? So here is Stevie wonder, playing keyboards, and I stood directly in front, RIGHT IN FRONT of the keyboard he was playing? I took a picture of his fingers, because I don't think I have ever SEEN a picture of his fingers. He started playing "Superstitious". Crazy. When he stood up to leave I told him I love his music, and I was listening to him before I saw him, and he reached out his hand and took mine, and said, "Thank you". I missed MJ, but not him. THANK YOU GOD.
